Nancy A. Colabove Singer, 74, Altoona, passed away Monday at her residence after an extended illness. Nancy was born in Shamokin, daughter of the late David Lewis and Luetta I. (Wallace) Cawthern.
She was twice married; first to Julius Colabove Sr., who preceded her in death on April 28, 2019, and then to Raymond Singer.
Nancy is survived by three sons: Brian L. (Julie) Colabove, Paul F. Colabove and Julius A. Colabove II, all of Altoona; 10 grandchildren; three sisters: Peggy Mosel of Midlothian, Va., Shirley Mapes of Berwick and Joyce Garland of Duncansville; a brother, Lewis "Bud" Cawthern of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Raichle.
Nancy was a 1966 graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from Veeder-Root Co. as an assembler.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and enjoyed playing bingo at the U.V.A. and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, by Pastor George Sanders.
Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park.
